ZAMZA (p.k.a. Zamza n’Banshee) was formed by Banshee Aliouxce (Yoshihito Onda), KOHTA (Kohta Igarashi), Hiroki (Hiroki Ito) and Zinc White (Jinsei Tsuji) in 2007. The name of the band derives from the main-character of Kafka’s novel, The Metamorphosis, SAMSA, and they parodied the name to ZAMZA. Banshee and KOHTA are from the famous J-Pop/punk band, Judy and Mary, and Hiroki and Zinc are from ECHOES. Zinc is also a well-respected movie director and an Award-Winning novelist...

 ZAMZA (p.k.a. Zamza n’Banshee) was formed by Banshee Aliouxce (Yoshihito Onda), KOHTA (Kohta Igarashi), Hiroki (Hiroki Ito) and Zinc White (Jinsei Tsuji) in 2007. The name of the band derives from the main-character of Kafka’s novel, The Metamorphosis, SAMSA, and they parodied the name to ZAMZA. Banshee and KOHTA are from the famous J-Pop/punk band, Judy and Mary, and Hiroki and Zinc are from ECHOES. Zinc is also a well-respected movie director and an Award-Winning novelist - receiving the Akutagawa Prize and the Subaru Prize for Literature, among others. Additionally, he is the first Japanese writer to win the prestigious French Prix Femina Award. After they released their first album entitled, MANGA, they embarked on the world tour covering Japan, Korea, Germany and France. When they released the U.S. debut album, Manga Rock, and performed the CD release concert in New York,  they changed the name of the band from Zamza n'Banshee to ZAMZA. Their new album, Tsukizoku is scheduled to be released on May 19, 2010 in Japan.
